Supporting Parents and Carers

We are dedicated to ensuring that your child has a meaningful and positive stay with us. Wherever possible, we work closely with you, your child, and all relevant professionals to support the best possible outcomes for your child and your family. We hope this page helps you understand how we will support you. We will always do everything we can to:

Helping you stay in regular contact with your child

When your child comes to live with us, they will have a care plan agreed by the Local Authority that sets out how their needs will be met, including arrangements for family time. Alongside this, we create a day-to-day plan covering routines, interests, and preferences. Wherever possible and safe to do so, we welcome parents’ involvement in shaping these plans.

Family time may take place in the home, in the community, at your home, or at an agreed contact venue, depending on your child’s care plan. We know how difficult this time can be, and your support and positive reassurance about where your child is living and who is caring for them is incredibly important to their wellbeing and progress.

How do we help you to visit the home?

Your child’s social worker will let you know where your child will be living. Once your child has moved into their new home, the manager will be in touch to discuss any concerns you might have and to answer any initial queries. The manager will also be able to plan your visit to the home with you, arranging times and dates and explaining our expectations.

Setting expectations together

We believe that clear and shared expectations help children and young people feel safe, supported, and understood. Wherever possible, we will work with you, your child, and relevant professionals to agree expectations that are consistent, realistic, and in your child’s best interests.

By working together, we can provide consistent support that helps your child feel secure and able to make positive progress..

We know that circumstances change

Your child or young person’s social worker regularly reviews their circumstances to make sure the right care plan is in place. This plan is also looked at by an Independent Reviewing Officer. Where it is safe and appropriate for parents to be involved, you will be contacted ahead of each looked-after child review. Wherever possible, we support children and young people to move on positively — whether that means returning home, living with a family member, or, in some cases, moving into foster care. We work closely with everyone involved to help make these transitions as smooth and supportive as possible. If needed, Endless Possibilities can also support the Local Authority by helping with updated assessments.

If you need to tell us something went wrong

We work hard to provide the best possible care for your child and always act in their best interests. If you are unhappy with any aspect of our service, there is a clear process for raising a complaint, and the home’s manager can provide you with a copy of our complaints policy. We see complaints as an opportunity to learn and improve, and they will always be taken seriously

We also want to hear when things go well

If you are happy with the care your child is receiving from the team at Endless Possibilities Care, we would love to hear from you. Your feedback and compliments mean a great deal to us.  You can share positive feedback in several ways:

All feedback, including compliments and constructive comments, helps us to recognise good practice and continue improving our service
